| HERITAGE | Capitel della Crosara is the “Capitello” at the intersection in a small village in Valpolicella, a very old stone on which the figure of the Madonna is painted. The Montresor family, impressed by the potential and charm of this area, in the 1950s established a collaboration with many peasant families of the village to be able to buy their grapes. The relationship between the producers and Cantine Giacomo Montresor was so deep that it was said that Montresor came to have a monopoly on these grapes. | |

| WINEMAKING | The selected grapes are harvested during the months of September and October and left to dry in boxes for about 3 months. The vinification is traditional for red wines, with destemming and soft pressing. The maceration lasts about 20 days and the pomace is separated in the middle of fermentation from the must. The fermentation stops naturally with the increase in alcohol content. Maturation in wood barrels and in bottle. | |
| TASTING NOTES | Deep ruby red colour. On the nose it is deep and persistent. On the palate it is full, sweet with aromas of ripe fruits, blackberries and cherries. | |
