I Satinati

The satin bottle, patented at the beginning of the 1900s to protect the wine from the sun during the first exports overseas, is the emblem of Cantine Giacomo Montresor. Today, Amarone Satinato Montresor is present in over 50 countries around the world and is an icon of Valpolicella. Its timeless elegance is the same as that of those who recognize it, choose it, and taste it.

Focus Satin Bottle Cantine Giacomo Montresor

The satin bottle, the “Mula,” was designed by Giacomo Montresor, who in addition to his passion for wine devoted much of his time to painting. The first "Mula" was not yet satin, in 1904 it presented sinuous curves that recalled the shapes of a classic wine flask. In 1906 the first exports to North America began and the need to protect the wine from the sun gave rise to the first satin bottle in 1921.
